We worked hard today to plant a vegetable garden in the back area of our apartment complex in Walnut Creek. So far six families are participating (children included!) and we planted a variety of vegetables; lettuces, spinach, endive, carrots, potatoes, turnips, corn, snap peas, fava beans and many herbs; cilantro, spearmint, mint, chamomile, and more.
